  • Video: Californians Pay the Price of Gridlock

    June 5, 2012

Watch this video from United Contractors shows the price we all pay for inadequate transportation infrastructure.

The impact of under-investment in transportation infrastructure in California can be seen in roadway safety, quality of life, jobs and the economy. As California struggles to close a $25 billion deficit, the Engineering & Utility Contractors Association has launched a video campaign to illustrate the real-world consequences of inadequate transportation infrastructure:

    • Wasting time and fuel in traffic
    • Paying higher auto insurance repair costs because of potholes and poor roads
    • Driving in unsafe conditions
    • Losing California’s quality of life

The video delivers a clear message: Now is the time to invest in, not cut, funding for roads, highways, and transit infrastructure.
