The Economic Impact of SB1 on California

For Immediate Release - In February, the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) published an eye-opening study that detailed the economic benefits of SB 1 on the state of California.
The “economic ripple” created by SB 1 will generate nearly $183 billion in economic activity and driver benefits throughout California in the next 10 years – $18.3 billion per year. SB 1 will be used to improve road safety, relieve traffic, fill potholes, repair local streets, upgrade freeways, tunnels, bridges and overpasses and more.

Our broad-based coalition of local governments, business, labor, social justice advocates, community groups, public safety leaders and transportation advocates are working hard to ensure these benefits are not whipped out by the misguided repeal proposition.
Read the full study HERE to understand what we would lose by repealing SB 1.
